The Bentley Instruments tray is made of high-resistance ABS plastic (-18°C / +80°C) and identifiable by HF/LF RFID chips or barcode. It lets circulate water in a water bath, is stackable with fall blocking system and positions from 1 to 32 are indicated. Usable with ILAS robots, it is also compatible with most vials (84 mm height max – diameter 36 mm max).

This sample preparation robot was specifically designed for dairy testing laboratories to standardize the production of their internal pilot samples and ensure optimal homogeneity. By producing homogenized, reproducible control batches, it creates the best conditions for monitoring analyzer analytical stability and maintaining reliable quality controls over time. The solution is built around a refrigerated storage tank and a syringe-based dosing module, integrated into a mobile stainless-steel frame or a fixed stand.

Operating principle

The robot prepares batches of pilot samples from a refrigerated milk tank (300 L), maintained between 0 and 4 °C and continuously homogenized using a mixer. Dosing is then performed via a syringe-based aspiration/dispensing system: milk is drawn from the circuit and then dispensed into the containers through injection needles, using a typical rapid cycle. The volume and dispensing speed are adjustable to ensure repeatable preparation and to suit the desired sample format.
