Milk IR calibration sets – medium

IR milk calibration sets

Bentley Instruments’ medium-concentration milk IR calibration sets comprise 13 raw cow-milk samples (60 mL each) covering typical ranges – fat 2.0–5.45 g/100 g, protein 2.1–4.1 g/100 g, lactose 4.45–5.8 g/100 g, dry matter 9.7–14.6 g/100 g – specifically validated for major component analysis. Designed for mid-infrared analyzers such as DairySpec FT and FTS, they support calibration and routine verification, ensure long-term stability and traceability, improve analytical accuracy, and enable early detection of instrument drift.

Milk IR calibration sets – high

IR milk calibration sets

Bentley Instruments’ high-concentration milk IR calibration sets comprise 13 raw cow-milk samples (60 mL each) spanning typical ranges – fat 6.0–9.0 g/100 g, protein 4.3–6.25 g/100 g, lactose 4.45–5.8 g/100 g, and dry matter 15.5–21.3 g/100 g – specifically validated for major-component analysis. Optimized for mid-infrared analyzers such as the DairySpec FT and FTS, they support calibration and routine verification, ensure long-term stability and traceability, improve analytical accuracy, and enable early detection of instrument drift.

Linear milk IR calibration sets

IR milk calibration sets

Bentley Instruments’ medium-concentration linear milk IR calibration set comprises 14 raw cow-milk samples (100 mL each) covering a representative fat range of 1.0–5.0 g/100 g, purpose-built to verify analyzer linearity and ensure reliable routine milk-composition performance. Validated for major components, it optimizes control of mid-infrared analyzers such as DairySpec FT and FTS, supporting calibration and routine verification, delivering long-term stability and traceability, improving analytical accuracy, and enabling early drift detection.

Casein calibration sets

IR milk calibration sets

Bentley Instruments’ casein calibration sets comprise 12 cow-milk samples (40 mL each) spanning a typical casein range of 2.5–3.5%. Supplied as mid-infrared calibration standards, the samples are refrigerated and contain a stabilizer to preserve integrity over time. Validated for casein analysis, they enable accurate calibration and routine verification of mid-IR analyzers such as DairySpec FT and FTS, supporting long-term stability, improved analytical accuracy, and early detection of instrument drift.

Fatty-acid calibration sets

IR milk calibration sets

Bentley Instruments’ fatty-acid calibration sets comprise 8 cow-milk samples (100 mL each) purpose-built for mid-infrared milk analyzers, with reference values for total fat; C14:0, C16:0, C18:0, C18:1; and grouped indices (SFA, UFA, MUFA, PUFA, De Novo, Mixed, Preformed). Supplied as refrigerated standards with a stabilizer to preserve integrity, they are validated for fatty-acid profile measurement and enable accurate calibration and routine verification of instruments such as DairySpec FT and FTS—supporting long-term stability, improved analytical accuracy, and early detection of instrument drift.

FPD calibration sets

IR milk calibration sets

Bentley Instruments’ FPD calibration sets are offered in two formats—20 raw cow-milk samples (40 mL each) covering 0.480–0.555 °H, and 11 raw cow-milk samples (60 mL each) covering 0.470–0.590 °H—specifically validated for FPD analysis in milk. Designed for mid-infrared analyzers such as the DairySpec FT and FTS, they support accurate calibration and routine verification, ensure long-term stability and traceability, and enable early detection of instrument drift.

Urea calibration sets

IR milk calibration sets

Bentley Instruments’ urea calibration sets comprise 30 cow-milk samples (40 mL each) spanning a typical urea range of 5–50 mg/dL, supplied as mid-infrared standards frozen at −20 °C with a stabilizer to preserve integrity over time. Validated for milk urea analysis, these frozen standards offer a reliable, convenient alternative to freshly prepared samples—supporting more frequent and consistent calibration of mid-IR analyzers such as DairySpec FT and FTS, enabling up to one year of shelf life, and helping ensure long-term stability, improved analytical accuracy, and early detection of instrument drift.

Standardization solutions
for bacteria and somatic cells counters

Total Flora Proficiency Testing

Essais d’aptitude flore totale ISO 17043 (IBC)

Bentley Instruments’ international total flora proficiency tests – ISO 17043 accredited and organized monthly with Actalia-Cecalait (French reference laboratory) – allow to control the optimal standardization of BactoCount and to guarantee the international equivalence of IBC and CFU results after application of our universal conversion equation. Each round provides ten milk samples of 30 mL (screw-top vials containing cow’s or goat’s milk) which contain a concentration between 10 and 1500 kIBC/mL.

Lyophilized bacteria SRMs

ETG de bactéries lyophilisées

Bentley Instruments’ BactoCount series counts individual bacteria (IBC) in raw milk by flow cytometry after sample conditioning (proprietary incubation, 50 °C heating, ultrasonication) to clarify the matrix and disperse colonies. Results are then converted to colony-forming units (CFU) using our validated European and Universal conversion equations, aligning with the ISO 4833 scale for international comparability. To ensure optimal standardization, we provide a long-shelf-life SRM of lyophilized bacteria (IBC) for rapid functional checks and calibrations. Storable for two years at 4°C, each vial reconstitutes in minutes with 60 mL of Bentley buffer solution (PN 12603) and comes with a certificate of analysis indicating the IBC reference value.

Lyophilized SCC calibration sets

ETG de cellules somatiques lyophilisées

The Bentley Instruments lyophilized (freeze-dried) somatic cell calibration set for SomaCount and BactoCount enables fast functional checks, calibration, and ongoing stability control of somatic cell counters. The set contains five cow’s-milk lyophilized samples spanning 50–1,500 kSCC/mL, supplied in glass vials with aluminum seals and caps; stored at 4 °C, they remain stable for up to two years. After reconstitution, each vial yields 15 mL of ready-to-use sample.
